Ginger Tea
This is a cinch! And easy to remember!
- In a medium saucepan, bring 5 cups of water to a boil
- Add 5 tablespoons of freshly chopped ginger (skin and all!)
- Let it boil for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.
- Let the ginger steep for another 5 minutes
- Strain and voilà — ginger tea!
Some tips:
- Look for roots with lots of knobs — the knobby ones have been found to have more polyphenols and two to three times more antioxidants than larger, smoother pieces, so you get more good stuff in every sip!
- Put it in a pitcher in the fridge for iced ginger tea; it’s also great in smoothies!
