  • When we created The Food Whisperers, we recognized that some might be skeptical, perhaps even dismissive, of our methodology, while others would be open and eager for our help.

    Everyone’s experiences and spiritual relationships with a higher power are very personal. Whether you call it the Universe, Source, Spirit, God, the Divine, consciousness, universal energy, or something else entirely, as The Food Whisperers, we simply think of it as Divine Guidance that is always focused on what is best for each of us.   • Many people associate food sensitivities with sneezing or stomach problems, and food allergies with severe anaphylactic reactions, but few know incompatible foods can trigger a wide range of symptoms in nearly every system in your body.

  • There are three categories of reactions that can be caused by food.  Two are "allergic" reactions involving your immune system, which means your body sends out specific proteins (IgE or IgG antibodies) to fight off and rid your body of certain elements in a particular food your body has determined it doesn't want.  Which specific foods your body decides it wants and doesn't is unique to every person and often changes over time for each person.

    IgE reactions are immune responses that present symptoms immediately or within an hour of eating a particular food, such as peanuts, for certain people. Symptoms can be as minimal as tingling around your mouth, up to hives, difficulty breathing, and life-threatening anaphylaxis.  It's estimated that only about 2.5% of people have these types of allergies.

    IgG reactions are far more common but much more challenging to diagnose. These reactions present symptoms hours and even up to 3 days after eating something you are sensitive to. The reactions can vary dramatically from person to person, ranging from skin issues to sinus & respiratory issues, digestive problems, brain fog, low energy, migraines, pain, stiff joints, and many other symptoms. While none of these are potentially fatal, all can cause a great deal of daily suffering and discomfort. Left ignored, these reactions can lead to chronic inflammation and an increased risk of more serious health conditions, including diabetes, arthritis, and certain cancers.

    The third type of reaction is intolerance. These are reactions to foods for which you may not have the necessary levels of certain enzymes or chemicals in your digestive system to break down the nutrients in those foods, as it is with milk for lactose-intolerant people. This leads to a range of primarily digestive issues like bloating, gas, diarrhea, etc. Some intolerances can result in a much wider range of troubling symptoms. Intolerances are not fatal but can seriously impact your daily quality of life. Over time, they can lead to more significant inflammatory issues and digestive problems. 

    The Food Whisperers identifies foods, additives, and hidden ingredients that present reactions primarily as IgG responses, intolerances, and non-life-threatening IgE reactions. We collectively call these "food sensitivities."  

  • Yes. Traditional allergy tests administered by healthcare professionals are always a smart first step. These can be helpful for many people, but too often, the results are not as accurate or complete as needed. The Cleveland Clinic reports that allergy blood tests (IgE testing) can deliver false positive results more than half the time. Skin prick tests, another common testing option, are equally fallible. FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) reports that “50-60% of all skin prick tests yield false positive results.” Unsurprisingly, many people never get to the root cause of all their symptoms, even after taking a full battery of standard allergy and laboratory tests. They are left feeling as confused and frustrated as when they started.

  • We have a one-of-a-kind approach that is both unique and unconventional. Instead of traditional blood, stool, saliva, or skin prick tests, we use our experience as professional mediums to perform individual “readings” for each person. We tap into spiritual guidance to reveal specific foods and hidden ingredients that are keeping each person from feeling their best. Our assessment is extensive. We analyze your sensitivity level (mild, moderate, high) to nearly 700 foods, beverages, hidden ingredients, condiments, spices, and supplements, including food additives and preservatives. We then take that guidance and create a custom, ~30-page report for you detailing your specific food sensitivity triggers, along with our comprehensive Guide to Conquering Food Sensitivities that includes all the practical tools, information, and support you need to turn your newfound knowledge into action. No other test matches the breadth, depth, and specificity of a Food Whisperers assessment.

  • Our assessment is most beneficial for those with a sensitivity level of 4, or 5 and who are ready to make the changes their body needs to feel better. To determine your sensitivity level, click HERE.

  • Ignoring food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances puts your body under constant stress and strain, leading to increased sensitivities and negative symptoms over time. While you might manage for a while, your body will eventually be unable to keep up the battle. This can result in chronic inflammation, a precursor to serious inflammatory diseases and disorders. Remember, you only have one body. Life will be better if you treat it right.

  • Elimination diets have been allergists' gold standard solution for decades. It’s a “try and see” approach. It requires patients to eliminate all foods and then slowly add specific foods back one at a time, allowing a minimum of four days to detect any reaction before adding another. The challenge with this method is the extensive commitment of time, effort, and patience required to do it successfully. A thorough program requires months of logging foods, rigorous trial and error eating, and symptom tracking, making it impractical for most people. Additionally, identifying specific hidden ingredients, additives, and preservatives in foods that trigger your symptoms is virtually impossible with an elimination diet. The Food Whisperers skips all the trial and error of an elimination diet by getting right to the answers you seek so you can immediately make the changes necessary to feel better.

  • Anaphylactic reactions are classified as IgE-mediated allergic responses that directly involve your immune system. These reactions can range from mild (e.g., tingling around the lip and mouth) to severe and life-threatening (e.g., trouble breathing, weak or rapid heart rate). Diagnosing or treating severe, life-threatening food allergies must only be managed by a licensed medical professional. The Food Whisperers, by contrast, focus exclusively on non-life-threatening food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances. These may cause significant symptoms and discomfort that affect your daily health, but none are life-threatening. If you are troubled by symptoms that have not been connected to any diagnosed severe allergy, then our assessment may help improve how you feel daily.  

  • Foods are certainly not the only thing that can trigger symptoms in your body. While we focus primarily on food sensitivity triggers, your assessment will also identify non-food sensitivities that are contributing to your symptoms, such as scents, pollens, pet dander, inhalants, molds, dust, household cleaners, laundry detergents, personal care products, and latex. If any non-food sensitivities are identified, we will certainly include them in your custom report.

    We know that identifying non-food triggers can be challenging on your own, given the vast array of potential sources. (In the cosmetics category alone there are over 12,000 ingredients and additives approved for use in the United States.)
